ABOUT US

Our team met in the humbling world of college student film at UNC Chapel Hill.

Our debut co-designed film was a short comedy called Sticky Feet, a parody of our own student identities as Tar Heels. Read all about our lore here.

Avni (she/her) is a co-founder, film producer, director, and writer and loves coming-of-age stories. She has produced five short narrative and two short documentary films, produced, directed, and co-wrote a three episode comedy show called General College, and worked in development and editing at Katahdin Productions in Los Angeles.

Avni independently produced, co-directed, and co-wrote the short film Sticky Feet Movie - assembling and managing a 30+ person team of writers, crew members, marketing, and cast. She was awarded a $5,000 grant from the Morehead Cain Foundation and fundraised and additional $6,000 to support a grassroots distribution campaign at seven universities.

Avni graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in Communications (Media and Technology Production) and Economics in May 2023.

Shelby (she/they) is a co-founder and has written, produced, directed, acted in and edited her own media projects for 15 years. She fundraised $6,000 via Seed&Spark to support a grassroots distribution campaign at seven universities of the short film, Sticky Feet Movie.

Shelby directed an independent film festival called Carolina Film Festival in 2023, screening over 20 short films. Under Shelby's leadership, the organization grew active membership by 30%.

She hopes to continue this mission of making the entertainment industry more accessible, especially for those who are afforded little opportunity.

She graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in Communications (Media and Technology Production) and a minor in Global Film in May 2023.
